Holiday traffic was disrupted Sunday thanks to several accidents on I-81 in Rockbridge County.
A motor vehicle accident at mile marker 189.1 closed the left
shoulder and left lane southbound.
Another accident, at mile marker 190.5, closed the south left shoulder.
The Virginia State police report that motorists can also expect major delays northbound at mile marker 191, due to congestion, with traffic backups of several miles.
