Governor Bob McDonnell’s administration on Thursday discussed how the federal government shutdown has impacted Virginia.
The Department of Military Affairs and the Department of Labor were among the agencies listed as being negatively impacted by the recent shutdown.
State officials say if the shutdown continues, Virginia could see a negative impact on withholding and sales taxes.
