A new Quinnipiac University poll has Democrat Terry
McAuliffe leading Republican Ken Cuccinelli in the race for governor 47% to 39%.
The poll also found that 8% supported the Libertarian candidate,
Robert Sarvis.
The poll's margin of error was 2.9%.
By nearly a 3-to-1 ratio, those responding to the survey
also said they oppose the federal government shutdown to block the federal
health care law, although 58% said they were not personally inconvenienced by
the shutdown.
