Storm Impacts Relay, Tree Strikes Buena Vista Home

Friday’s storm disrupted the Rockbridge County Relay for Life at RCHS.
Before attendees temporarily evacuated the field in preparation for the storm, participants were able to hold opening ceremonies.
Meanwhile, Friday’s storm also led to a tree striking a home on Long Hollow Road in Buena Vista. Red Cross officials say they’re providing financial assistance for the family of four to help with meals and lodging, and will continue to coordinate recovery assistance.
