Law enforcement officials continue to investigate
last Friday’s fatal accident near Lexington that claimed the lives of two
juveniles.
The accident occurred Friday night on the Route 11 bypass when a southbound vehicle struck a bridge abutment.
The driver has been identified as 36-year-old Ashley Baker of Lexington. A passenger has been identified as 26-year-old Brookley Crowder of Waynesboro.
Two of the juveniles inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Harrison Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements for the two children killed in the crash. A service will be held for 8-year-old Jaden Baker Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home while the funeral for 4-year-old Delaney Bishopriggs will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock at the Harrison Funeral Home.
