A balloon release will be held this
morning at 10:30 in memory of Jaden Baker, one of two children killed last
Friday in a fatal motor vehicle accident on the Route 11 bypass near Lexington.
The balloon release, in memory of Jaden Baker, a second grader at Enderly
Heights elementary School, will be held at 10:30 a.m. in front of the school.
Last Friday’s accident claimed the
lives of Baker and 4-year-old Delaney Bishopriggs of Waynesboro.
The driver of the vehicle,
36-year-old Ashley Baker, was injured in the wreck and sent to Carilion Roanoke
Memorial Hospital along with Ashley’s son Durham and a passenger, Delaney’s
mother, Brookley Crowder.
Lexington Police say the accident
remains under investigation.
