A new report shows fewer Virginians are getting health insurance through their employer.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation report found that 66 percent
of Virginia residents got their insurance through a job in 2011, down from 75
percent in 2000.
In Virginia, the percentage of private sector employers offering
coverage fell from 60 percent in 2000 to about 56 percent in 2011.
The rate of employees taking employee-sponsored insurance in
Virginia declined from 82 percent in 2000 to about 75 percent in 2011.
