Investigators have released the name
of the Liberty University student who died Monday at Crabtree Falls in Nelson
County. The accident claimed the life of 18-year-old Faith Helbig of New Jersey.
Authorities say the Liberty
University freshman was hiking with other students when Helbig went off the
trail and slipped on wet rocks. Helbig then fell nearly 100 feet.
There is a sign at the falls warning
people to stay on the trail because of the number of people killed at Crabtree
Falls, the highest waterfall in the U.S. east of the Mississippi River.
