New Poll has Obama ahead in Virginia


A new poll has President Barack Obama ahead of Republican Mitt Romney by four points in Virginia.
Obama edges Romney 50 to 46 in the Quinnipiac University, New York Times and CBS News swing state poll of Virginia, Wisconsin and Colorado.

In the Virginia Senate race, those surveyed favored Democrat Tim Kaine over Republican George Allen 51–44.

Forty-five percent of those polled in Virginia said they thought the United States was worse off compared with four years ago with 35 percent saying it was better off. Twenty-nine percent said their family was worse off while 27 percent said better off.
