Arts
on Washington will be throwing a block party in downtown Lexington on Friday, October
5th.
Washington
Street will be closed to traffic from Main to Jefferson between 5 p.m. and 8
p.m. for the special arts block party that features local businesses, galleries
and artisans.
The
event is being organized by the newly formed Arts on Washington and is being sponsored
by Artists in Cahoots.
Jeremy
Leadbetter and Patrick Hinely will project a slide show of old Lexington photos
on the wall of Grand Furniture. Rockbridge County artist Mark Cline will display
his sculptures and the band Greenhouse will perform.
The
six galleries which comprise Arts on Washington have planned several art activities
and displays.
