Police in Buena Vista have released more information about a bomb threat Sunday night aimed at Southern Virginia University.
Police say Rockbridge Central Dispatch received a threatening phone call Sunday night around 9:45, in which the caller said there were bombs placed around the SVU campus. The university was placed on a lock down.
Buena Vista Police say they carried out a search for explosives and evacuated students, with the help of the Virginia State Police and the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office.
Buena Vista police say investigators have spoken with two subjects of interest and the investigation remains active.
