Bomb threat at SVU

Buena Vista Police investigated a bomb threat Sunday night at Southern Virginia University, after threats were made that bombs were planted in several buildings on campus.
Students were alerted to the campus lock down just after 11:30 Sunday night. The lock down was lifted a few hours later.
SVU officials say every building on campus was checked and they believe the campus is secure. Monday turned out to be a normal day for work and class schedules.

SVU officials say a call came in through a deaf service Sunday night, claiming that there were bombs on campus that would be detonated unless the caller received an undisclosed amount of money.
Law enforcement officials questioned a couple of individuals but made no arrests.
Until the investigation is concluded, SVU officials are asking students, faculty and staff to report anything suspicious to 911.
