No Final Report Yet

The Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is working with Lynchburg police to investigate the recent death of 19-year-old Liberty University student Joshua Hathaway, who was shot and killed by a Liberty University security officer at an off-campus women’s dorm on November 20.
Police investigators said Hathaway attacked the security officer with a hammer. The officer then fired twice, striking Hathaway with one of the shots.
The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is awaiting more information from an autopsy and forensic tests before releasing a final report.
