Concerns About Norovirus



Virginia Department of Health officials expect an increase in the numbers of stomach flu incidents over the next few weeks.
Norovirus, referred to as the stomach flu, causes vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal cramping. It can cause a great deal of discomfort, the illness usually goes away on its own.
State health officials investigated 184 norovirus outbreaks statewide in 2012.
