The United Way of Central Virginia is conducting its annual October food
drive.
Several school bands are assisting with the drive, including high school bands
at Brookville, Jefferson Forest, E.C. Glass, and Rustburg.
Last year’s food drive resulted in nearly 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food
being donated.
The drive concludes Friday, November 8 at 10 a.m. when the food is delivered
to several agencies, including the Rivermont Area Food Pantry, Blue Ridge Area
Food Bank-Lynchburg, the Missionary Food Bank, and the Salvation Army.
