Lexington Public Works crews are scheduled to mark
and stripe certain
streets in the city this week, mainly in the downtown area.
It’s expected
that the city crews will work from midnight to 8:00 AM each day, in order to
minimize disruptions to traffic and businesses.
The work
consists of painting center lines, stop lines, crosswalks, curbs, and parking
spaces.
Work on Washington
Street will include marking out parking spaces and line markings in connection
with the temporary detour route from the Nelson Street Bridge project.
Weather permitting, all of the work
should be finished by May 24.
