Flooding and Roads

Flooding remains a concern throughout the region due to the excessive rainfall of the past few days.
Officials with the National Weather Service say several areas along the James River could be impacted by water overflowing banks, including near Buchanan and Holcomb Rock.
VDOT officials say several roads in the region remain closed due to high water or downed trees, including roads in Alleghany, Botetourt, Bedford, and Campbell counties.
