Republicans will hold a nominating convention Saturday in Richmond to select
a candidate for lieutenant governor.
There are seven candidates, including two current state lawmakers, Delegate Scott
Lingamfelter of Prince William County and Chesterfield County Senator Steve
Martin.
A former lawmaker, Jeannemarie Davis, is pursuing the nomination, along with
two county government officials, Prince William Supervisor Corey Stewart and
Stafford Supervisor Susan Stimpson.
There are two other contenders, Chesapeake faith leader E.W. Jackson and Fairfax
County businessman Pete Snyder.
