The Amherst County Supervisors on Tuesday approved the county’s fiscal 2014 budget, which includes a 3% pay raise for county employees.
The board set the real estate tax rate at 54 cents and the personal property tax rate at $3.45.
Meanwhile, the Bedford County School Board on Tuesday
also gave final approval to its budget for the 2013-14 school year. The budget
gives school employees a 3% pay raise.
