Alabama Man Apprehended In Amherst



An Alabama man who is facing capital murder charges in Alabama is currently locked up in the Amherst jail after being pulled over in Amherst last Saturday for driving 100 miles per hour on the Route 29 bypass.
29-year-old Cameron Rayford has been charged with reckless driving and being a fugitive from justice. A passenger in his vehicle, Nikeem McDory of Alabama, was charged with possession of a schedule III drug.
Both men are being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail. Arrangements are being made to return the suspects to Alabama.
