The Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday adopted the county's Fiscal 2014 budget.
The board voted 5-0 in favor of approving the budget, which features a three cent hike in the real estate tax rate.
Supervisor Ronnie Campbell says the real estate tax rate increase in Fiscal '14, and the projected increase in the tax rate the following two years, will help pay for big ticket items like the new combined middle school and future improvements to the radio communications system.
