Replacing Putney

Several candidates have announced interest in pursuing Delegate Lacey Putney’s seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Putney recently announced his plans to retire after 52 years in the House of Delegates.
Those interested in the House seat include Bedford businessman Jim McKelvey and Botetourt County residents Jim Crosby and Jerry Johnson.
The Republican nomination for the House seat will be decided through a May 7 primary.
