RCHS wins 64-61 in OT

Andrew Rowsey scored 38 points Monday night to lead Rockbridge County to a 64-61 overtime victory over host Rustburg in the Region III Division 3 quarterfinals.
With the win, the Wildcats will take on Spotswood at Spotswood High School Wednesday at approximately 7:45 p.m. in the regional semifinals, with a trip to the state quarterfinals on the line.
With his 38 points on Monday, Andrew Rowsey now has a career point total of 2,605. Rowsey, who is just the second player in the history of the VHSL to surpass 2,600 points, is now 82 points behind the all-time career points leader, Stacy Ervin of Twin Springs.
