VDOT officials say the traffic
pattern will change Monday, January 14 in the Candler’s Mountain Road highway work zone at
River Ridge Mall in Lynchburg.
When the new traffic pattern is in
place, the right lane of the structure will be closed while the bridge
restoration project is completed. Work should be largely finished by early May. During the second phase of work, the
left turn lane to River Ridge Mall will not be accessible and motorists will
use the detour via Murray Place.
