The Bedford County School Board will
meet Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. at the Bedford Middle School cafeteria to talk about
redistricting.
The school board has been looking at
a plan that would involve the redistricting of approximately 260 students in
the Forest and Liberty attendance zones.
Public input is being sought on the
idea of transferring more sixth-graders from the Liberty zone to Bedford Middle.
Some parents have raised objections
to the redistricting plans at recent public meetings, citing concerns with travel
distances for students and a possible negative impact on the learning
environment.
