Virginia will hold a moment of silence Friday morning to mark the Connecticut school shooting a week ago.
Gov. Bob McDonnell is asking for a statewide moment of silence at
9:30 a.m.
The proclamation marking a day of mourning calls for the bell at
the Capitol Bell Tower ring 26 times in honor of each of the victims of tragedy
at Sandy Hook Elementary.
