Voters go to the polls Tuesday to decide the presidential election
between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney.
Polls open Tuesday morning at 6 o’clock and will remain open
until 7pm.
In Virginia, voters will decide the Senate race between
Democrat Tim Kaine and Republican George Allen.
In Congressional races, in the 6th District,
Republican Bob Goodlatte will take on his Democratic challenger, Andy
Schmookler. In the 5th
District, Republican Robert Hurt is facing Democrat John Douglass and
independent Kenneth Hildrebrandt.
In Lexington, there are 4 candidates for seats on city
council, Marylin Alexander, John Morman, Frank Friedman, and Camille Miller.
There are also two candidates for Mayor, Mimi Elrod and Mary Harvey Halseth.
