Assisting Hurricane Victims

Life Chapel’s pastor, Timm Ziegler, is collecting supplies to assist Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey.
Ziegler plans to leave early Thursday to deliver supplies to his hometown in Lakewood, New Jersey. Ziegler’s home church, Calvary Lighthouse, is serving as a center for the American Red Cross, Convoy of Hope and Samaritan’s Purse.
Several items are being sought for donations, including bottled water, flashlights, nonperishable foods, baby food and formula (ready made), diapers (disposable only), heavy duty garbage bags, paper towels, blankets, warm socks and gloves, hats, rubber gloves, work gloves, medicine (allergy, headache, cold, baby), rubbing alcohol, and other first-aid items.
You can drop off donations at Life Chapel at 70 Hines Lane, near Rockbridge County High School and the armory, by Wednesday, November 7, at 7 p.m.
Financial donations may be made by writing a check to the Life Chapel Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
Volunteers who would like to make the trip with Pastor Timm Ziegler to New Jersey to assist victims of Hurricane Sandy can call 464-LIFE (464-5433).
