Traffic was backed up Saturday on I-81 in Rockbridge County,
thanks to a leak of acrylic acid from a northbound truck.
Due to the leak, the exit at mile marker 195 was closed for
several hours.
Most of the acid that leaked was contained inside the truck.
It’s believed that only a small amount of the acid spilled outside the truck
and no one was evacuated.
