The Virginia High School League has approved a plan that installs
a new six-classification system based on enrollment, starting in the 2013-14
school year.
The new system was set up to balance enrollment disparities
within divisions.
Classifications range from 1A to 6A, with each classification
featuring an East/West or North/South region, with four conferences in each
region.
