Another Virginian has died in connection with the fungal meningitis outbreak.
State health officials say a patient died last Friday at Carilion Roanoke
Memorial Hospital. The death was the 16th in the U. S. related to the outbreak.
Health officials say investigators have linked the outbreak to three batches
of steroid shots that may have been tainted. Two facilities in Virginia
received the shots, Insight Imaging in Roanoke and New River Valley Surgery
Center in Montgomery County.
