School Study in Bedford County

The Bedford County Board of Supervisors on Monday agreed to commit $50,000 towards a study of a new middle school.
The city of Bedford’s pending reversion to town status mandates that Bedford County construct a new middle school for the Liberty attendance zone.
The Bedford County School Board may vote on Thursday on going with a two-phase study for the new middle school, which could be situated near the location of Liberty High School on Virginia 122 just north of the city.
The study would be handled by Wiley and Wilson, a Lynchburg engineering and architectural firm.
