A tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County early Friday resulted in the death of the tractor-trailer driver.
The driver apparently was killed after his rig wrecked and caught fire shortly before 3 a.m. near mile marker 175, near the Natural Bridge exit.
The accident closed both north-bound lanes for several hours and also closed a section of Route 11 while the overpass was inspected.
