Confederate flags will be on display next weekend in Lexington.
Members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans plan to display flags during the Lee-Jackson Days event the weekend of January 13.
Brandon Dorsey with the SCV says the group plans to have people holding Confederate flags while standing underneath the city’s flagpoles, since Lexington City Council voted last September to ban the flying of all non-government flags on flagpoles.
Dorsey says he may still file a lawsuit to get the city’s flag pole ordinance reversed.
