Thursday's Accident

One of the passengers of a pickup truck, which wrecked Thursday in Rockbridge County, died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.
The pickup truck overturned on Big Spring Road and crashed into a creek. The pickup was hauling a trailer with ATV's when it veered off a bridge on Big Spring Road and flipped into the creek, near the intersection with Route 60. Emergency services personnel had to extricate the occupants of the vehicle.

The Virginia State Police charged the driver, James Chaplin, with reckless driving.
