The numbers are in for the
Rockbridge Christmas Basket Program.
More than 400 volunteers made an appearance this past
Saturday at the Virginia Horse Center
in Lexington to
help pack baskets of food and toys for the
needy. More than 200 volunteers were involved in the delivery of the baskets
Saturday afternoon.
Organizers say this year’s program served 1,087 families and 2,812 individuals, including 979
children. All told, 1,700 boxes of food and 519 toy bags were delivered on
Saturday.
