Former State Senator passes away

Former Virginia state senator Elmon Gray has died at the age of 86. Gray had been battling cancer.
Gray, a Navy veteran during World War II, graduated from VMI in 1946.
The Sussex Democrat served in the Senate from 1971 until 1992.  
A memorial service will be held at VMI on Oct. 11.
