Recount in Attorney General's Race

The statewide recount is taking place this week in the attorney general’s race between Democrat Mark Herring and Republican Mark Obenshain.
At last report, Herring was ahead of Obenshain by just 165 votes out of 2.2 million cast.
The recount starts Monday in Fairfax County and the cities of Alexandria and Chesapeake. Other cities and counties will take part in the recount on Tuesday.
A recount court in Richmond is expected to name the winner of the attorney general’s race by Friday.
