Governor Bob McDonnell has unveiled the
Commonwealth’s budget for the next two fiscal years.
Governor McDonnell says his $95.9 billion budget promotes private-sector job creation and grows Virginia's economy.
The Governor says his budget triples the Rainy Day Fund, which will reach $1 billion by 2016.
The budget proposal allocates more than $183 million in additional, new higher education funding.
It also provides over $38 million dollars in new funding for mental health priorities.
