Columbia Gas says the application period has started for Virginians seeking financial assistance this winter through the Virginia Energy Assistance program.
Applications will be accepted through November 8.
The Virginia Department of Social Services administers the federally-funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance program. Applications are accepted at local Department of Social Services offices.
Those needing more information on eligibility requirements can
call 2-1-1.
Columbia Gas customers can also call the company’s Energy
Assistance Hotline at 1-800-272-2714.
