Charges are pending against the driver of a tractor-trailer that wrecked
Wednesday morning on Virginia 151 in Amherst County.
The truck, which was carrying explosives, wrecked about two miles north of U.S.
29.
The driver was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening
injuries.
The Virginia State Police say no explosives ignited but traffic was detoured
for several hours. They say they continue to investigate the cause of the
accident.
