Sentencing in Franklin County

A Franklin County man, 46-year-old Jeffrey Overstreet of Callaway, was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Tuesday in Franklin County Circuit Court for running bogus sales via the internet.
Prosecutors had alleged that Overstreet accepted money through eBay and Craigslist for vintage car parts and vehicles that were never shipped.
A jury found Overstreet guilty of obtaining money by false pretenses, not filing tax returns, operating an unregistered business and money laundering.
