Parry McCluer Wins!

Parry McCluer defeated Castlewood Saturday 53-34 in the Group A, Division 1 quarterfinals at UVA-Wise as the Fighting Blues won their first state quarterfinal game in 18 years.
Parry McCluer, 21-6 on the season, will make its first trip to the state semifinals since 1995.
The Blues will take on West Point Thursday at 5 p.m. at VCU's Siegel Center. You can hear the game on Classic 96.7, 3WZ.
If Parry McCluer wins Thursday, the Fighting Blues will play the Altavista-JI Burton winner Friday at 3:45 p.m. in the Division 1 state championship game.
Against Castlewood, the Fighting Blues played tremendous defense in building a 33-13 halftime lead and upping the advantage to 39-13 in the third quarter.
Parry McCluer's Josh Perry scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds while Charlie Fitzgerald added 12 points and Tanner Fix had 11 points.
