Two school employees in Franklin County school system are facing charges in connection with an
alleged murder-for-hire plot.
Authorities claim a kindergarten
teacher at Sontag Elementary School, Angela Nolen, attempted to hire a hit man
to kill her ex-husband, Paul Strickler. Investigators say a nurse at the
elementary school, Cathy Bennett, assisted Nolen in the plot.
Investigators claim that Nolen met
with an undercover officer, who she thought was a hit man, and paid the agent
$4,000 to kill her ex-husband.
Nolen and Bennett, who are facing
felony charges, are being held at the Western Virginia Regional Jail without
bond.
