A New York man, 24-year-old
Alexander Levine, is in jail after a high speed chase Sunday on I-81.
Authorities say Levine has been charged
with felony elude, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.
The south-bound chase started just
after 10:30 Sunday morning near mile marker 160 in Botetourt County after a trooper
clocked Levine driving at 87 mph.
After a high speed chase through
three counties, the Virginia State Police were able to apprehend Levine at mile
marker 124 in Montgomery County.
At last report, Levine was being
held without bond in the Botetourt County Jail.
