Several investors, including local business-owner Bobby Berkstresser, are
making plans for a new $11 million regional artisan and cultural center, to be
located at White's business park at the Raphine I-81 interchange.
The center will feature an artisan demonstration area, an arts and crafts
retail center, the new Virginia National Guard Museum, a high-tech tourist
information center, a Virginia-made food and wine shop, a food court, and an
“Experience Virginia” plasma-screen theater.
The goal is to open the Artisan Center in the summer of 2014.
