A Staunton man, 19-year-old Dallas Chaplin, was taken into custody Thursday after a four-day manhunt.
Chaplin is facing a first-degree murder charge for the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Benjamin Graessle in Harrisonburg on Sunday.
Authorities arrested Chaplin at a home in Staunton around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Staunton Police were assisted by Harrisonburg Police, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal Service in apprehending the suspect.
