Abel New Head Coach

Washington and Lee has announced that Scott Abell has been promoted to head football coach.  Abell had previously served as the program’s assistant head coach and offensive coordinator.
Abell arrived at Washington and Lee as offensive coordinator prior to the 2008 season. He was promoted to assistant head coach prior to the 2011 season.
Abell came to W&L following six seasons as the head coach at Amherst County High School.
