Audrey McCombs was in the vehicle with Grubbs. She is safe and will likely be reunited with her family in Bedford by Thursday.
Grubbs, the former Bedford County sheriff's deputy, was fired from his job as Liberty High School’s resource officer when he was arrested last month. He’s been hit with an additional charge of abduction.
