Water Problems

Lexington City Council has decided to stop for now the installation of new water meters and backflow prevention devices for residential customers. Some citizens have been complaining about broken water pipes after backflow devices were installed recently.
The city plans to continue to install the new meters on commercial customers and at VMI in the next week or so.
Council asked city employees to explain to residential water customers how they can avoid plumbing difficulties when backflow devices are installed in the near future.
